Today’s the Day…Happy #GivingTuesday!
We are so excited GivingTuesday is here! Today is an international day of giving, now in its 7th year, celebrated each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This global giving movement harnesses the generosity of people worldwide to support the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.
Your generous gift on #GivingTuesday will help support Children’s Home & Aid programs that change lives for Illinois children and families. Best of all, thanks to a generous donor, your gift will be matched, doubling your impact on the children and families you care about.
We have so much in store for you today, including Facebook and Instagram Live videos showcasing our staff, children, youth and families. These videos will give you a glimpse at your gifts in action at our program sites across Illinois.
Last year generous friends like you contributed nearly $100,000 on this day, which included a match from a generous donor. This year we’d like to raise even more, but we need your help!

The agency’s Veterans Affinity Group encourages you to join the worldwide movement towards 1 million acts of kindness on Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday Military was co-founded by Jessica Manfre, Southern Region Children’s Home & Aid employee and 2019 Coast Guard Spouse of the Year. Your acts of kindness can be as simple as sharing a hug, paying the toll of the person behind you, or complimenting the first three people you see in the morning. Be sure to use the hashtags #GivingTuesdayMilitary and #childrenshomeandaid in your social media posts.
