Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts
We’re so glad to partner with people like you who believe in helping children in need right here in our community. Together, we can empower whole families to escape destructive circumstances and thrive.
The foster care system is overloaded with children whose families are struggling with crises and need strong advocates. They’re hindered by situations they can’t control and don’t have the resources to navigate their way through.
In short, foster care prevents many children from becoming the kind of adults our world needs.
Before the pandemic, not having an internet connection was an inconvenience. But with kids having to do school from home, a device for each child and a stable internet connection became vital to keeping up in school. Families who were on lunch assistance suddenly had to figure out how to get another meal, when many low-income parents lost their jobs entirely.
To help these kids become everything they can be, we need to reach them before a crisis strikes.
Here’s the good news: it’s not only possible to reach parents before their kids enter the foster care system, it’s proven to work.
Thanks to people like you, families had access to the practical support they needed to stay in their homes and keep their children in school. Struggling parents could reach mental health support and peer groups to help them through the emotional weight of 2021. You made sure parents and children had access to prenatal care, crisis nurseries, educational support and trauma training throughout the stress of the last two years.
Despite all of these efforts, the need has only increased.
Together we can help those children at risk of entering the foster system in 2022. Would you be willing to make a donation today to provide the resources families need to break out of cycles of addiction, poverty, or violence?
