Dawnielle Jeffrey joined Children’s Home & Aid in April 2013 as Director of Education. At that time, she brought more than 11 years of leadership, research and experience in early childhood development, including a tenure at CAP Tulsa, a leading force in child and family advocacy, early education and two-generation program design, where she served as Teacher, Master Teacher, Special Services Manager, Associate Director of Compliance, and Associate Director of Curriculum and Instruction. As Director of Education at Children’s Home & Aid, Dawnielle was responsible for coordination, planning, implementation, curriculum administration and evaluation of 0-5 education services. She was subsequently promoted to Director of Programs, where she ensured consistency in service delivery across programs with attention to inclusive practices and integration of program content areas.
In September 2018, Dawnielle began her post as Vice President of Early Childhood Services. In her current role she is responsible for the development and administration of all early childhood programming: develop, inspire, implement, and lead programs in best practices through integration of education philosophies, framework, principles, and agency core values.
Dawnielle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Langston University and Master of Science degree in Teaching, Learning and Leadership from Oklahoma State University. She has completed the Head Start Management Fellows Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Dawnielle has served on ExceleRate Illinois Award of Excellence Advisory Panel. She also completed the Illinois Early Childhood Senior Leader Cohort through the Erikson Institute, and currently serves on its Early Childhood Leadership Academy Advisory Board.
