Help prepare kids & families to return to the classroom!
Last year, with your support, Children’s Home & Aid was able to help nearly 1,000 youth in the Chicago metro area get ready to go back to school––whether virtually or in person. From backpacks and school supplies to rent and utility support, your gift ensured we could meet the ever-changing needs of families who were already experiencing difficulties in their daily lives due to the pandemic.
Help us this year as we seek to support nearly 2,000 children and youth across the Chicagoland area. Your donation will ensure kids and families have the tools they need to succeed this fall and beyond.
- $50 provides one child with a backpack stuffed with school supplies
- $100 provides a family with rental assistance, utility support, or the ability to buy much needed household staples like diapers and toiletries
- $500 helps us provide resources to kids and families throughout the school year, like therapy sessions, a hot breakfast and lunch, and more!
Returning to Learning Block Party
Come join us Saturday, August 14th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at our 5958 S. Marshfield Avenue location in Chicago for Children’s Home & Aid’s third annual Returning to Learning Block Party!
Families from the community can come pick up everything they need to return to school and enjoy a fun afternoon together. We will be giving out backpacks stuffed with school supplies, playing games, giving away prizes, sharing lunch and treats from local restaurants, and more!
We will be observing public health and safety protocols as set by the Chicago Department of Public Health.
