Need Support For The Challenges Of Parenting?
Children’s Home & Aid understands being a parent is not a simple job. Parents Care & Share can help by easing the stress and frustration that comes with raising children. Join other parents as they come together to learn, listen, understand, and encourage one another.
A Parents Care & Share group gives us a place to take a break from the hard job of parenting, to feel safe to discuss painful issues, to laugh over our mistakes, and to learn from—and give support to—others. Being part of a group is one way to relieve stress.
Children’s Home & Aid’s Parents Care & Share program has groups throughout the Chicagoland area and central Illinois. Groups are generally open to anyone who is parenting, such as biological parents, grandparents raising their grandchildren, single parents, stepparents, foster parents, other relative or nonrelative caregivers, or parents who do not have custody. Some groups only serve a specific type of parent, such as teen parents, parents of autistic children, or adoptive parents. No matter how often or how rarely you come to group, you are always welcome.
