MSNBC Comes to Chicago For Town Hall on Gun Violence
MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes” arrived in Chicago today to hear directly from residents how the city’s violence has affected their lives. Children’s Home + Aid’s Director of Youth Services, Jimi Orange, and Youth Mentor Avery Sterling were invited to attend the event.
The town hall-style program was taped this afternoon at the Paul Robeson Theater in the South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Drive.
MSNBC promoted the town hall event by saying, “Chicago has become a shorthand – both for the president and for people who share his worldview – for a kind of urban war zone. The reality of that is much more complicated.”
Due to breaking news this evening, the town hall event will air tomorrow night, February 10th, at 8PM EST.
