Featuring
Robert Simmons III, Ed.D., Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, Campaign for Black Male Achievement
Robert W. Simmons III, EdD is responsible for the national implementation and development of the Campaign for Black Male Achievement’s place-based efforts to improve the life outcomes for Black men and boys. Using the organization’s Bold Goal and High School Excellence Framework, Robert is charged with partnering with communities to support their efforts, and invest resources, to accelerate the rate at which Black boys complete high school college, career and community ready.
Dr. Simmons’ remarks will address why research on the linkage between working with fathers and outcomes for their children is important, what the field loses without this information, and how this information can be used to improve programs, policies, and outcomes for both fathers and children.
A panel of evaluation professionals will respond to Dr. Simmons’ address by highlighting the current state of research on the impact that supporting fathers has on outcomes for their children. The panels will explore the current gaps in existing research, and the barriers and opportunities for bridging those gaps.
Ricardo Millett, Ph.D., Principal Associate, Community Science

Kellogg Foundation, has considerable experience directing program evaluation and strategic planning efforts to affect social change.
