Did the enhanced services make a difference in outcomes for youth?
To assess the effectiveness of the project’s services, outcomes were compared for the 93 youth randomized to receive enhanced services with 92 youth in the control group who received services as usual.
At follow up 1.3 years later, those eligible for the project’s services
- Were working significantly more hours
- Had significantly reduced delinquency
- Had significantly fewer arrests and nights in jail
Additional analyses will focus on understanding the processes underlying these differences and whether certain subgroups were more or less likely to benefit from the services.
