You can help twice as many children in crisis this Giving Tuesday.
There is a foster care crisis happening in Illinois.
There has been an overwhelming increase in child abuse and neglect investigations this past year. Families who were struggling before have seen increases in job losses, stress, and other restrictions as a result of COVID-19.
These children are being placed into situations beyond their control. They are facing unbelievable barriers like systemic poverty, a lack of access to quality education, and parents who themselves grew up in struggling families. Many of their parents have to choose between working and watching their children, or between healthcare and warm winter clothing.
These families who are simply looking for a little help standing on their own.
That is where you come in.
You can provide parents with mental health services to escape the generational trauma they themselves experienced. You can help fathers who have been incarcerated provide for their children through job coaching. And you can offer safe environments to children in crisis who would otherwise be left home alone.
You can do all of this when you make a donation this Giving Tuesday.
Today your gift will also have twice the impact. A generous donor has agreed to match all donations up to $50,000 for gifts made before the end of Giving Tuesday (11/30). This means that every dollar you give will help twice as many children in crisis.
Make your gift right now to help children at risk in our community.
