Giving thanks on Thanksgiving, and every day
As we celebrate Thanksgiving at Children’s Home & Aid, we want to take a moment to thank all of the donors, volunteers, community partners and funders that work with us to make life better for children and families in Illinois.
To the thousands of kind and generous individuals and foundations who make gifts from $1 to $100,000, to make sure all Illinois children and families can thrive, we say thank you.
To the corporate volunteer teams who take time from their busy work schedules to help at our childcare centers cleaning playgrounds, reading to children, making art projects … thank you.
To the community partners, who attend long meetings to hammer out solutions to serious and complex problems, doing so with dedication and a spirit of collaboration, always putting children’s needs first… thank you.
To the corporate funders, who see a problem in their community and channel their resources, both financial and human, to help make a difference… thank you.
To the amazing, generous and dedicated fundraising auxiliaries across the state, who “stuff the bus” in Bloomington, who organize 5K Cops and Doughnut runs in Granite City, who host amazing fundraising events in Chicago, and support our MotherHouse crisis nursery in Rockford… thank you.
To our dedicated and tireless Board of Trustees, who lead our organization with passion… thank you.
But most of all… to the children and families we serve, who show such resilience and strength… thank you for inspiring us on a daily basis.
