Kick-off Registration Event
Join us on Saturday, April 2nd to kick-off the month-long virtual race! Staff will be available to answer questions and get you signed up. Learn about the resources Children’s Home & Aid has for you and your family right here in the community. Honor Duncan and Jack, for whom the event is dedicated, by hearing from their mother, Amy Leichtenberg.
Due to expected rain, the in-person registration event scheduled for April 2 has been postponed.

Why We Run/Walk
The annual race is in memory of young Duncan & Jack Leichtenberg of LeRoy, victims of the 2009 murder-suicide by their father after he failed to return them to their mother from a visit. All proceeds from the race support the Family Visitation Center – the only one of its kind in the McLean County region. The center provides a safe, neutral child friendly environment for supervised visitation and exchanges for families where there is an active order of protection in place.
