Metro Chicago Holiday Gift Campaign
October 1, 2022 - December 15, 2022
Make the Holiday Season Brighter for Children & Families
We know that many donors have enjoyed purchasing holiday gifts for children served by our programs. It is a wonderful way to get into the spirit of the holidays, and we are so grateful that you want to extend holiday joy to our kids and families.
This year, we are asking you to do something different. We are asking you to partner with us to support parents and enable them to choose, wrap and present gifts to their children. You can do this by making a monetary donation that we will convert into gift cards to give to families in our programs.
Or donate to @ChildrenHomeAid with Venmo by scanning this code with the camera on your phone or by clicking here:
Why we are asking for cash or gift cards instead of sharing children’s wish lists?
Our Blueprint for Impact focuses on addressing equity and supporting families as the critical element for child wellbeing. By donating the funds you would typically spend on purchasing gifts to Children’s Home & Aid’s Holiday Campaign, you allow parents to be the “holiday hero” for their children. You give them the dignity of choosing exactly what they know their children will love. And you help ensure that all children in a family are treated equitably.
If you prefer to shop and donate gifts to a specific child or family, our programs in Bloomington-Normal and East St. Louis are still operating gift drives.
Funds raised through the Holiday Gift Campaign will provide gift cards to parents and caregivers, empowering them to shop for their families and fulfill holiday wishes. In addition, funds raised may be used to assist families facing a crisis at various times throughout the year.
