• Families report a more positive birth experience

• Increases confidence in breast feeding

• Support of mothers and partners in the pregnancy journey

Program Details:

• All Doulas are DONA trained

• Childbirth Education

• Labor support

• Linkage to community resources

• Breastfeeding Education and support

• Weekly home visits with Parent child bonding activities

• Access to baby items (as available)

• Prenatal peer support groups

Home Visitors, Family Support Specialists

Home Visitor:

Meet with families with children 0-3 years of age; partner with parents to facilitate activities, complete assessments, and build on family strengths.

Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and Gateways Level 4 FSC required.

Family Support Specialist:

Recruit, enroll, and support families being served by the Early Head Start program.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a closely related field, Gateways Level 5 FSC, and one year of relevant experience required.
