Strengthening The Parent-Child Relationship
Many foster families need mental health services to address parent-child relationship issues. Relationship problems can be further complicated by children’s trauma as a result of abuse and neglect, exposure to violence, and placement in foster care.
Project Connect provides therapy to young children and their foster families. The goal of Project Connect is to strengthen parent-child relationships, decrease the effects of trauma and promote healthy relationships so that children can be reunited with their biological parents. Parent-child therapy is provided within the home whenever possible. Project Connect therapists work to build trust and maintain strong connections with families so that both adults and children can get the help they need.
Project Connect is offered in the Metropolitan Chicago Region.
