In Illinois, an estimated 45,000 people live with HIV or AIDS, and in Chicago, approximately 28,000 people live with the disease. On Sunday, September 23, staff and supporters of Children’s Home & Aid joined more than a thousand other Chicago AIDS Foundation supporters at the 2018 AIDS Run & Walk. With your help, our team raised over $9,600 to benefit Children’s Home & Aid programs that support HIV-affected families through direct service programs, education, and advocacy. .

This was the first year since merging with the Families’ and Children’s AIDS Network (FCAN) that Children’s Home & Aid has put together a team to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS-affected children and families at the Chicago AIDS Foundation’s Run/Walk. We’re so proud to carry on FCAN’s work that strengthens HIV-affected families and are incredibly inspired by all of the runners and walkers who took part in yesterday’s race. Thank you to all who fundraised, donated, ran or walked to support our team!

If you weren’t able to make it, you can still support our team through November 15 by making a donation here.
