Thirty years of service to Children’s Home & Aid cannot go unnoticed. Today, we congratulate Janice Moenster, our southern region’s Director of Early Childhood Services, for recently reaching this amazing milestone and thank her for her many contributions as a leader, coworker, mentor, and friend.

All of us at Children’s Home & Aid appreciate Janice’s passionate dedication to the children, youth, and families of southern Illinois. Her unwavering commitment to our agency’s mission has left an indelible mark on countless staff, partners, and communities and it will continue to be felt for years to come. Here are just a few of the well wishes and happy times that our agency shared with Janice as a part of her anniversary celebration.

Jennifer Ryan said: “Happy 30 years!! Thank you for your friendship, mentorship, and leadership over the years. I am always in awe of your work ethic and dedication to our agency.” Suzi Kollman said: “Congratulations on 30 years of dedicated service to Children’s Home & Aid and the children. There is no limit to what else can be done under your leadership.” Sherri O’Toole shared: “Thank you for believing in me and noticing my strengths and abilities…You’ve helped me grow as a supervisor and as a person.”

This is just a small sampling of the impact Janice has made during her tenure here through her encouraging words, steadfast support, and belief in her team. In response to the outpouring of gratitude, Janice noted: “My personal and professional life has certainly changed the past 30 years. Life is better because of you in the best and the worst of times. No matter what, we always persist forward together.”

Janice assures all of us that she still has much more to do on behalf of families and children before she retires. We have been so lucky as an organization to learn from and grow with Janice over the years. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
