It is our pleasure and honor to announce ITW as the recipient of Children’s Home & Aid’s 2021 Pauline K. Palmer Award.

Each year, the Woman’s Board of Children’s Home & Aid presents the Pauline K. Palmer Award to recipients who exhibit outstanding dedication and service to children and families. The award is named in honor of Pauline K. Palmer, daughter-in-law of famous Chicago matriarch Bertha Honoree Palmer and the first president of the Woman’s Board of Children’s Home & Aid.

The award will be presented to ITW during the Woman’s Board Honoring Our Past, Ensuring a Bright Future virtual Gala on Friday, September 10th.

Founded in 1912, ITW is a global industrial company headquartered in Glenview, Illinois. Since 1972, ITW has been a generous partner to Children’s Home & Aid, contributing over $780,000 to our programs through board participation, event sponsorships, program grants and COVID-19 emergency relief. ITW employees have volunteered at our Centers, provided holiday gifts for children and served as loyal champions for our mission.  ITW was also recognized as our 2012 Corporate Partner of the Year at the Champions for Children Luncheon.

“We are extremely grateful to have a partner like ITW. Their long-time commitment and support of the children and families we work with is astounding. ITW has helped increase our impact throughout Illinois and create a better future for the children we serve,” said Mike Shaver, President and CEO of Children’s Home & Aid.

In addition to their support of Children’s Home & Aid, ITW has contributed over $400,000 towards the Woman’s Board annual Gala which supports our early Childhood Education Centers in the Chicago area.

“The Woman’s Board of Children’s Home & Aid is so proud to honor ITW’s longstanding support and their generous contributions to our annual gala,” said Linda Campbell, President of the Woman’s Board.
