Each winter, Children’s Home & Aid fulfills the holiday wishes of the children and families we serve. This year alone, with help from our generous corporate partners, Children’s Home & Aid brought holiday cheer to over 4,000 boys, girls and families throughout Illinois. In Chicago, over 2,500 children and families received toys and games – just in time for the holidays.
The gift drive began in Chicago in early November as our team of corporate partners received their wish lists from our children and families. Over the next several weeks these partners and their employees were busier than Santa’s workshop with shopping, sorting, labeling and wrapping their presents. From December 7-11 thousands of gifts were delivered to Candy Cane Lane, our staging area, where each wish list and their accompanying presents were checked-in and sorted as they awaited delivery to their new homes. With the help of our wonderful volunteers from CDW, Axiom Law and IEG, all presents were sorted and out the door to be delivered on December 14.
