How We Serve
Children + Families

Children’s Home + Aid is a leading child and family service agency in Illinois. Each year, it protects, educates and counsels more than 40,000 children, youth and families to overcome the overwhelming obstacles of poverty, abuse and neglect. The dedicated team of staff and volunteers deliver more than 70 programs including foster care, adoption services, early childhood education, family counseling, and youth services in nearly 60 Illinois counties. For 130 years, Children’s Home + Aid has been a compassionate advocate helping to shape public policy around early childhood, child welfare and juvenile justice.

Southern Region Holiday Gift Drive 

Participate in the Help for the Holidays gift drive to help families in need in Children's Home + Aid's Southern Region. There are 200 holiday wish lists made by the children and families that need to be filled.
Other ways you can get involved this season are helping with the Holiday Book Drive or volunteering to wrap gifts.

Building a New Carpentersville Child + Family Center

We currently offer early childhood care and education in Carpentersville at The Tom Thumb Community Child Care Center. The Center has served at-risk children and families in the Carpentersville community since the 1970's. And now, we are building a new Center!
