Children's Home + Aid President & CEO Nancy Ronquillo Receives Women in Leadership Award
Children's Home + Aid President and CEO Nancy Ronquillo was honored along with other awardees at the 25 Women In Leadership Awards Luncheon held September 9, 2010 in Peoria. The annual award is sponsored by WEEK-TV, the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce and The Marketeer Magazine, recognizing women whose work and service make central Illinois a better place.
Nancy has served as President and CEO of Children's Home + Aid since 2001, helping the agency make a direct and profound impact on the lives of children, youth and families in central Illinois. She worked to implement innovative programs in the region, including a Crisis Nursery for families in need of emergency, short-term child care and support, and a Family Visitation Center for supervised visits between foster children and their families in McLean County.
Prior to her work at Children’s Home + Aid, she served as the CEO of The Children’s Foundation in Bloomington. Nancy also currently serves as the Chair of Illinois Partners for Human Service, a statewide network of organizations that advocate for high-quality, responsible and sustainable approaches to providing human services throughout the state. This year, Nancy was appointed by Governor Quinn to serve as a member of the Illinois Human Services Coalition, which will make recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly on the provision of high-quality human services to Illinois citizens.
Congratulations, Nancy!
