Official Rules For Children’s Home + Aid Bring Me Home Campaign        

From Children’s Home & Aid Society of Illinois (an Illinois Not-for-Profit corporation doing business as “Children’s Home + Aid”) and Chicago White Sox players Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko (“Beckham/Konerko”).

The “Bring Me Home” Campaign begins on April 1, 2013 and ends at 11:59 P.M. on the last day of regular season for the Chicago White Sox (“Campaign Period”). 

  1. TO CONTRIBUTE:

    To contribute online, go to www.childrenshomeandaid.org/bringmehome and make a donation to join the Bring Me Home Campaign and qualify as a Team Player, Slugger or All-Star.

  2. ELIGIBILITY:

    Open only to legal residents of the fifty United States who are 21 years of age or older on January 1, 2013. 

  3. PRIZE ELIGIBILITY:

    Based upon contribution, described elsewhere in the Campaign materials, contributors may be entered in drawings  to be held at the end of each month during the regular season to win autographed Beckham/Konerko memorabilia, tickets to a home game designated by the White Sox (in the succeeding month) and, Date TBD, 2013, a drawing to win two (2) tickets to the “Grand Slam Party” and the chance to meet Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko (both of whom will be attending). 

  4. DRAWINGS:

    Prize winners will be selected monthly at random by the Chief Financial Officer of Children’s Home + Aid from the submitted donations.  The tickets to the Grand Slam Party will be awarded after Date TBD, 2013.  All prizes will be awarded.  Children’s Home + Aid reserves the right to substitute a similar prize or prizes of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.  All taxes and other expenses, costs or fees, if any, associated with the acceptance or use of any prize are the responsibility of the winner.  In the event the Campaign is terminated before all prizes are awarded or if any prize is forfeited or unclaimed, Children’s Home + Aid will randomly select from remaining eligible entries, alternate winners for all remaining prizes.  Prize winners will be notified by Children’s Home + Aid at the e-mail or postal address provided by the winners.

  5. GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS:

    Children’s Home + Aid shall not be liable for any prize that is cancelled, postponed, delayed or unavailable due to causes not reasonably within its control.

  6. ENTRY OWNERSHIP/RELEASE:

    Once submitted, all donations/pledges become the sole property of Children’s Home + Aid and will not be returned.  Acceptance of all prizes constitutes a winner’s permission for Children’s Home + Aid to use winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and address (city and state) for advertising/publicity purposes and in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further compensation.  By participating in this Campaign, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Children’s Home + Aid, which are final and binding in all respects.  Entrants agree that Children’s Home + Aid shall not be responsible or liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in this Campaign, or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prizes awarded.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate or suspend this Campaign should non-authorized human intervention or other causes outside of Children’s Home + Aid’s control, corrupt, undermine or impair the administration, security, and fairness of the Campaign.

  7. GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION:

    ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE BRING ME HOME CAMPAIGN SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OF CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.  THE INVALIDITY OR UNENFORCEABILITY OF ANY PROVISION OF THESE RULES SHALL NOT AFFECT THE VALIDITY OR ENFORCEABILITY OF ANY OTHER PROVISION.  IN THE EVENT THAT ANY PROVISION IS DETERMINED TO BE INVALID OR OTHERWISE UNENFORCEABLE OR ILLEGAL, THESE RULES SHALL OTHERWISE REMAIN IN EFFECT AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR TERMS AS IF THE INVALID OR ILLEGAL PROVISION WERE NOT CONTAINED HEREIN.  EACH PERSON WHO PARTICIPATES IN THE BRING ME HOME CAMPAIGN IRREVOCABLY AGREES THAT THE STATE AND FEDERAL COURTS LOCATED IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS SHALL HAVE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION OVER ANY SUIT OR OTHER PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR BASED UPON THIS AGREEMENT, AND EACH HEREBY WAIVES ANY CLAIM THAT IT IS NOT SUBJECT PERSONALLY TO THE JURISDICTION OF SAID COURTS OR THAT ANY SUCH SUIT OR OTHER PROCEEDING IS BROUGHT IN AN INCONVENIENT FORUM OR IMPROPER VENUE.

  8. INDEMNIFICATION:

    Children’s Home + Aid shall be responsible for operating the Bring Me Home Campaign and shall see to it that the rules and policies regarding the Campaign comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Children’s Home + Aid agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Chicago White Sox, Major League Baseball and Major League Baseball Properties, Major League Baseball Advanced Media and each of their owners, officers, directors and employees for any liability resulting from a failure to comply with said applicable laws and regulations regarding the Campaign.  Children’s Home + Aid’s responsibilities will also include the following, but not be limited to, writing the Campaign rules and all expenses incurred in running the Campaign.  All rules are subject to the approval of the Chicago White Sox prior to the start of the Campaign and must include an ineligibility and contract indemnification clause.
