Kids' Turn

Welcome to Kids' Turn

Kids' Turn is renowned throughout the United States as a leader in divorce education for children and parents. The goal of Kids' Turn programs is to help minimize the negative effects of divorce on children. The programs are educational (not therapy), focusing on skill building and positively affecting each family's ability to manage the changes created by divorce or separation.

Kids’ Turn offers support groups for children and parents trying to cope with divorce or separation. Parent and children’s groups are run concurrently. When parents come to The Children’s Foundation to attend Kids’ Turn, their children come with them. Parents and children will attend their own support group.

Mission Statement

Every year over one million children suffer the breakdown of their families when their parents separate or divorce. Kids' Turn helps children understand and cope with the loss, anger and fear that often accompany separation and divorce. Kids' Turn awakens parents to the need to support their children during this crisis in their lives, so that at-risk behavior by children is averted. Kids' Turn is dedicated to enhancing the lives of these children through improved communication and the knowledge that they are not alone.
